Fraser Island and Cooloola are accessible by 4WD from Noosa via Noosa North Shore as a guided day tip or overnight camping tours. Or hire a 4WD or take your own vehicle (see link aboveor phone 13 74 68).
Take the car ferry from Tewantin to Noosa North Shore. Fraser Island ferries operate from Inskip Point at Rainbow Beach and from Riverheads at Hervey Bay.
